About Coffeeka
Led by Co-Founders Marina and Jack, Coffeeka is an expression of their shared values: responsible sourcing, outstanding coffee and first-class service.
After travelling to the world’s coffee centers, Marina and Jack have brought the best coffee beans to Coffeeka. Our coffee is sourced from small local coffee farms and roasted under rigorous Specialty Coffee Association standards.
At Coffeeka, we are seriously committed to ethical production and consumption, from farm to cup.
Our supply chain abides by fair trade regulations and is environmentally friendly. We believe in coffee as an engine for growth and emancipation, without presenting environmental costs that have become too common in our industry. This is why we ensure the highest equity standards, from coffee picking to roasting to packaging.
To our customers, we strive to make our product taste as good as it is for our producers and the planet. Our wide variety of coffee grains ensures we can satisfy the unique taste of each individual customer, exceeding all expectations through the superior quality of our product. We believe each coffee grain brings a story with it, our responsibility is to share that story. This is why we are committed to communicating the origin and treatment of each grain.
Meet the Co-Founders
Coffeeka was born out of the union of Marina de Hoffmann and Jack Zafrani. Beyond their fondness for each other, Marina and Jack are united by their passion for outstanding coffee, a beverage which has accompanied their life trajectories.
Coffeeka co-founders have international academic backgrounds: Marina completed her undergraduate degree in Economics from Universidad de Buenos Aires, while Jack achieved his Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business from the University of Haifa, Israel. Later, Jack got his MBA from the University of Miami. Marina completed a Masters in Economic Policy in Brazil, at Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo. Most importantly, to follow her passion for the coffee world, Marina got her Master Barista certification in 2018.

Professionally, Jack brings his expertise in hospitality and data analytics, derived from over 20 years of experience working with Royal Caribbean and American Express. Marina has a wealth of gastronomic knowledge, following countless courses with renowned international chefs and extensive training in the coffee industry. As a hobby, she competed in various sports competitions, including open-sea swimming, marathons and iron man triathlons, receiving prizes in each.
In 2016, fate united Marina and Jack, and later created Coffeeka. Coffeeka embodies its co-founder’s core values: an ethical supply chain, superior coffee and exceptional service. It expresses their global experience, guided by a responsibility to create positive impact from farm to cup.
